Victorian Troy Woolston becomes Rotax World Karting Champion along with Coady Gillis, Australia wins Nations Cup

Victoria has a new World Champion after Troy Woolston from the Go-Kart Club of Victoria won the DD2 Masters class at the 2017 Rotax World Championships in Portugal!
Congratulations Troy and to your team what an amazing achievement! Troy started racing as a young junior many years ago and worked his way up through all the categories and after many years of hard work and effort can now call himself a World Champion!

James Wharton from the Eastern Lions Kart Club has finished on the podium with 3rd position after a great drive from 9th spot in the Junior Max class final at the Rotax World Championship! Congratulations James on your great result!

Brad Jenner from the Go-Kart Club of Victoria started the Senior Max final in 25th and worked his was up to inside the top 20 but struck trouble in the later laps finishing 26th.

Harry Arnett from Bendigo started the Micro Max final in 24th and made up many positions in the opening laps but was forced out with a DNF on lap 4 and was classified 33rd.

Aussie Coady Gillis added a second World Championship for Team Australia with Gillis taking out the DD2 class dominating the race from pole, congratulations Coady and to your team on your amazing result!

Our Team Australia also won the 2017 Rotax World Championship Nations Cup in Portugal! What an unbelievable achievement by all 14 drivers doing Australia proud!

With 2 World Championships a podium and winning the Nations Cup this years Australian campaign was one of the results ever.
